Baseball practice plans and award certificates

Game after game, season after season, the best baseball coaches are easy to spot. Their teams may not always be blessed with the most natural talent. But come playoff time, they know what they’re doing.

How do you field, where do you throw, how do you execute a bunt and more? Coaching makes a big difference in baseball.

What is it about the great baseball coaches that makes them stand out?

Baseball Practice Plans

Well, the great ones will tell you it starts with a plan. They’ve thought through their teaching plan before every season and practice. They know what they’re going to do and roughly when they’re going to do it. They have a plan for the season and a plan for every practice.

Long-time coach John Blissenbach has condensed his years of coaching knowledge into a series of practice plans. Your team will be the primary beneficiary.

“Players don’t like lines, and they need different drills to keep them engaged,” said Blissenbach. He continued, “Each practice plan was carefully thought through and tested on the field. I kept only the best drills and activities in these plans.”

Key Advantages of Baseball Practice Plans

Blissenbach notes that the biggest advantage to these baseball practice plans is that youth baseball coaches will know what to teach and when to teach it. He’s provided an overall approach, drills, and talking points to make it bulletproof.

He notes that some coaches choose to make some small adaptations for their unique situations, but many coaches follow the plan exactly. Blissenbach’s baseball practice plans have generated an incredibly positive response from coaches, as many have noted how their teams improved remarkably from the prior year.

“In addition to their teams improving,” said Blissenbach, “The most rewarding thing was how much coaches said they enjoyed the experience of coaching more.”

One of the benefits of baseball practice plans is saving coaches time.

“Many coaches are coming home from work and barely have time to grab the bat bag before heading off to a practice, let alone thinking through the best possible approach to practice,” notes Blissenbach, “Now, they can print off a practice plan, and they have an agenda to work through. Plan the work and work the plan. It works.”

When other coaches are distracted by thinking about what will happen next in practice, Blissenbach’s plans enable them to focus on the task and coach at the moment.

Blissenbach notes, “Your players will have confidence in you, and your team’s parents will notice the improvement in their children’s play. It makes for a great season.”

Baseball Award Certificate Maker

To conclude the season, or even throughout the season, coaches can recognize players, team parents, and coaches with professionally designed award certificates. With these templates, a coach or team parent can add details like the players’ names, team names, dates, and words of praise before printing the certificate.

“I noticed that my own kids would keep certificates awarded to them by their coaches up in their rooms or on the family bulletin board for months,” said creator Mike O’Halloran, “To make it easier for coaches, I worked with designer Greg Johnson to come up with all of these certificate options. Coaches or team parents must personalize each certificate to create a lasting keepsake.”

The Coaching Benefits of Practice Plans

1.) Saves you time.

2.) Enables you to coach in the moment. You don't have to think about what to do next — it's already listed out for you.

3.) Work with a proven system. Our authors are coaches who have been there and done that. They know what works, the best order to teach skills and what doesn't work.

4.) Your players get better quicker. It's all about player development, but it's kind of fun to win a lot!

5.) Leap ahead on the learning curve. It took John Wooden over 10 years to produce his first champion.

Fortune favors the prepared. Find out more about sports practice plans for baseball, basketball, soccer and softball.

What Folks are Saying

“I coach 5th and 6th grade basketball and after winning only 3 games the previous 2 years combined, I began using your structured practice plans each week and now we are now one game away from the league championship!”

Mike Jadach
JV Coach Assumption School, Ansonia, CT

“Your basketball practice plans are fantastic! Many youth coaches are pressed for time and these organized practice plans help me to run an efficient practice with little preparation time needed. Not only are the plans efficient for coaches, but the drills have paid dividends for our players. I really appreciate the work put into these.”
